Crash causes delays
THE wet weather caused havoc on the region’s roads, with delays to traffic along the Bruce Hwy at Apple Tree Creek following a crash on Sunday morning.
Emergency services crews were busy cleaning up after the driver of a Ford Falcon ute towing a camper trailer lost control.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle was travelling too fast around the bend in wet conditions, jack-knifing into a guard rail.
The 62-year-old driver and an occupant were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Police are urging motorists to drive with caution, particularly with school holidays and the Easter and Anzac long weekends ahead.
