Crash causes de­lays

THE wet weather caused havoc on the re­gion’s roads, with de­lays to traf­fic along the Bruce Hwy at Ap­ple Tree Creek fol­low­ing a crash on Sun­day morn­ing.

Emer­gency ser­vices crews were busy clean­ing up af­ter the driver of a Ford Fal­con ute tow­ing a camper trailer lost con­trol.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, the driver of the ve­hi­cle was trav­el­ling too fast around the bend in wet con­di­tions, jack-knif­ing into a guard rail.

The 62-year-old driver and an oc­cu­pant were treated at the scene for mi­nor in­juries.

Po­lice are urg­ing mo­torists to drive with cau­tion, par­tic­u­larly with school hol­i­days and the Easter and An­zac long week­ends ahead.
