Stay active over Easter

Isis Town and Country - - SPORT -

CHILDERS kids can stay active during the Easter break with the help of the free Daily Physical Activity Guide iPhone app.

State Recreation and Sport Minister Steve Dickson said the mobile app integrated technology with physical activity, and helped deliver on the government’s promise to get more children and young people involved in sport and recreation.

“The Easter break is the perfect time to hop to it, and experience the fun side of physical activity,” Mr Dickson said.

“The Daily Physical Activity Guide app acts as a manual for teachers and parents to show children how to make active living and learning a way of life.

“It’s a mix of 78 group and individual activities, which are designed to develop movement skills like balance, running and hopping.”
