WITH so many members playing at Maryborough, a select field of 14 players managed to enjoy a single stroke competition.

Kev Savage won the day with 35 points from Phil Luckett on 34, runner-up on countback from Val Plath, 2nd runner-up.

Jack Smith won the best nine holes with 21 points, a pity about the second nine. Cynthia Draper eagled number one to win the approach.

Jack Smith led the Chook Run winners 29 nett, followed at some distance by Val Plath and Phil Luckett on 35, with Michael Stanton the unlucky player to miss out on the spin.

Next week is the V.I.P. stroke event for May and will also be the first round of the Jan Mungomery Salver, our annual stroke competition to be run over 6 rounds.
