Isis Town and Country - - SPORT -

LAST Saturday was a Chip and Putt competition for all divisions. In the 6-hole division there was a draw with Xavier Freeman and Cooper Rehbein both scoring 83. Well done boys! In the 9-hole division Cooper Burns had a very good score of 62 to win from Kaitlyn Carige. In the 13-hole division Zane Fitzgerald had a very impressive 57 to win from Christian Fredriksen with a 66.

This Saturday Craig Swift will be coming along to conduct some coaching clinics. All players need to be ready for a 7.30am start.

On Sunday the junior pennants team played in the final of the junior pennants against Bargara, unfortunately they fell one game short of taking the title with a 3-2 loss. All players played well with Blake Dowling and Travis Mittelheuser winning their fixtures. Overall this was a great result as Isis has not had a pennants team since the late 1990s. So well done to all concerned.

On Sunday Isis will be holding their annual junior carnival with more than 100 junior players expected to compete. Tee off time for 18 holers will be from 7am. Players from as far as the Sunshine Coast and Central Queensland will travel to play in this event.
