Sunday May 25 - Isis bowlers travelled to Burrum Heads for an afternoon of bowls playing for a shield.

On arrival we enjoyed a nice lunch then it was time for an enjoyable afternoon of bowls. As we were down on numbers Burrum Heads loaned us some players for the afternoon.

The host team was too good for us on the day with a comfortable win 128 to 95, even though well beaten. Isis bowlers enjoyed the outing and look forward to reversing the results when Burrum Heads visit us on the August 3, 2014.

The great smoko the ladies put on for us may have had something to do with the final score they fed us too well?

Winners on the day Isis lead. J Pascoe 2nd J. Newton 3rd M. Bolderson skip K. Vandervall. Burrum Heads lead M. Macklin 2nd B. Lepla 3rd C. Dunbar skip B. Fox. Our bowlers also fared well in the raffle prizes.

Date to note: Sunday the June 15 Isis Bowlers will be making the trip to Burgowan Bowls Club. Cars will be leaving from the Isis Club at noon (midday).
