THE sin­gle stable­ford com­pe­ti­tion saw some fine golf, es­pe­cially by A Di­vi­sion play­ers, with Phil Luck­ett record­ing 40 points and a hint of brak­ing near­ing the round’s end, to be the over­all win­ner, with Paul McCar­ragher on 38 the run­ner-up.

Col Den­nett was first run­ner-up on 36 on a count­back from Michael Stan­ton, sec­ond run­ner-up. Neil Rieck scored 19 points to win the best nine holes.

In B Di­vi­sion Sue Long won with 34 points from Rae McCliskie on 33, run­ner-up on a count­back from Joy Cart­ner. Best nine holes went to Len Stal­lard on 21 points. Ap­proaches were won by Michael Stan­ton for the men and Marg Den­nett for the women.

Chook run win­ners were: Len Stal­lard (31), Phil Luck­ett (31), Paul McCar­ragher (32), Michael Stan­ton, Keith Rule and Sue Long (34).
