WHERE'S THE LIBRARY GONE?
CHILDERS community members heading to the library to browse, hire and return books have been faced with a construction site.
The Bundaberg Regional Council facility is closed for what the council termed “extensive renovations”.
Painters and tradesmen can be seen working inside the building as the library remains taped off to the public.
The Churchill St facility closed on June 2 and will not reopen until Monday. No other site has been opened for library use during this period.
FACELIFT: Mitch Howard and Todd Herring are part of the team repainting the Childers Library as part of its renovation plans.
