Stop wasting money

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion -

“WE have just received our eight-page Council News letter (June-July edition). It asks whether the future council will have divisions or not. It states, and I quote: “Now we are asking the community via a 500 person phone poll sample, if residents favour retaining divisions or doing away with them.” We are then told that “the results of that survey will assist council to formulate a view that could be put to the Electoral Commission should council seek to change the existing divisional arrangements”. We understand that your suggested “500 person survey” is why we now have divisions. Didn’t work last time – and won’t work this time, unless you are trying to justify the fact that you “have consulted the community”. Please, council – stop wasting our money and do the job properly. The future make-up of our council, whatever it is, should be based on more than a “500 person survey”. “
