Network of new friends

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion - Leah Kidd Reporter

PLAYGROUP, it’s such a simple concept but Childers Little Vegemites co-ordinator Jan Kime certainly puts some perspective on what it means to play in a group.

When I look back on my own playgroup experiences, it certainly did set me up with a strong network of friends that I, like Jan Kime’s own children, have remained connected with well beyond those younger, Little Vegemite years.

And while my chance to create new playgroup memories is still a few years away, I certainly hope the support for playgroups, from those who can, continues to grow like it has during the past 18 years in Childers.

It’s great to see families making the effort to break out of the cotton wool, play outside and live a lifestyle that’s becoming unknown.
