Isis Town and Country - - Front Page - By BENN GRAHAM, SERENITY COVE CAFE, WOODGATE BEACH

■ THE Woodgate Beach Hotel/Motel is the place to be this winter with new management setting the place on fire in more ways than one. What better way to relax and enjoy a few drinks than on the couches that surround the fire place and finish it off with a fantastic meal.

■ Things will also be heating up on July 5 and 6 when the Ford Fairlane Club rolls into town and sets up next to the hotel to show off their cars to all.

■ Clear your throat and put your dancing shoes on. Karaoke is back. Sing, laugh and dance the night away on Friday, July 11.

■ Come enjoy Christmas in July at the Woodgate Hotel where it will cost you only $55 each or a three course meal with wine and beer included as well as live entertainment and prizes to be won on the night. Fundraising on the night will all go towards the Woodgate first responders which I think is a very vital service for the Woodgate community.

Now to other news

Someone has opened the gates in the south with the NSW and Victorians all making there way up the coast to find some warmer weather and hibernate until early September.

A few of the keen ones have been getting out of bed early and making their way to Leanne Shorters fitness classes down at the community hall for there morning work out.

While the girls are down doing there fitness the guys sneak out and head to the beach with rod and bait in hand to try catch themselves a feed of fish for breakfast.

It’s great to see the same faces and meet the new comers every year as they enjoy there stay at Woodgate Beach.
