A BUSY weekend for golfers with the Blake Dowling combined Isis/Social two-person Ambrose stroke event on Saturday and the Foursomes Championships on Sunday.
On Saturday, the rain kept some players away, but a good number completed the round, with Clinton Dowling and Curtis Fredriksen winning with a nett score of 62.5 ahead of Dave and Robyn Robinson on 64.25, both excellent scores in the testing conditions.
Mark and Vicki McAulay were third, scoring 66 nett and Ivan Philpott and Roger Draper next on 67.25. Rundowns went to Brett Martell and John Hinton, Chris Fitzsimons and Bob Fraser, Bill Herring and Paul McCarragher.

Members enjoyed the barbecue supper delivered and prepared by members of the Childers District Social Golf Club.
