Thanks for everything

Isis Town and Country - - OPINION - By MELINDA BRADFORD

THEY are our unsung heroes, providing humanitarian voluntary work wherever the need arises.

Whether it’s their immediate response to natural disasters, their blood service, or their everyday work to assist vulnerable people, they are there for the community.

One hundred years on, the Australian Red Cross is still there for us in our time of need. And what’s more, our Childers Branch has been operating continuously over that time.

Today, these selfless people continue to make a positive difference to the lives of others.

They visit the hospital and Forest View, conduct emergency training, make trauma teddies, fundraise throughout the year and so much more.

Thank you to all local members, past and present, who have worked selflessly for the good of the community.
