This week’s episode fo­cuses on the dif­fer­ent ways people deal with pain and how the sup­port of friends and fam­ily can help you get through al­most any­thing. Richard, a 23-year-old mo­tor­cy­clist, is rushed into emer­gency by he­li­copter, hav­ing col­lided with a parked car. Flung through the air, he hit an­other car’s bon­net and a lamp­post be­fore hit­ting the pave­ment. A scan re­veals Richard has suf­fered frac­tures to both hips and has dam­age to his tes­ti­cles that will need fur­ther in­ves­ti­ga­tion. Next into the ward is 22-year-old Bobby who, while hav­ing a few drinks with friends af­ter work, stood on a bro­ken wine bot­tle, re­sult­ing in a deep cut and lots of blood.
