New friends share laughs as pensioner groups join together

Isis Town and Country - - News -

THE Isis Pensioners group played host to the Gayndah Senior Citizens’ Club last week, where members warmly welcomed their new-found friends and showed them some good old-fashioned Childers hospitality.

The pensioner groups came together to enjoy a fun-filled day of good food, laughter and a plethora of games, including bingo, cards, board games, floor quoits and hoy.

Of course, no pensioner day out would be complete without a cent sale, raffles and lots of prizes.

Isis Pensioners spokesman Maurie Styles said it was great to see members of both clubs mixing with each other.

Mr Styles commended Isis members for supplying a delicious array of food on the day.

“They all commented on the nice food that our members supplied on the day,” he said.

“Some of our visitors even went home with some new silverside and salad recipes.”

The Isis Pensioners plan to meet up with the Gayndah Senior Citizens’ Club again early next year.

Next month the Isis Pensioners will visit the Gin Gin Social Club.
