THE stroke competition for July including the 3rd round of play for the Jan Mungomery Salver drew another large contingent of members and visitors.

With an outstanding score of 64 nett, Roger Draper was the overall winner for the day, a very satisfying one indeed!

In A Division Dave Robinson was only one snot back to win from Nigel Radin on 67, Paul McCarragher and Marg Dennett on 68, with Norm Plath’s 69 earning him 4th place.

In B Division Len Stallard recorded 67 nett to win from Ray Burrows on 70, with Joy Cartner winning with 71 nett on countbacks from Frank Rockett and Rusty Usmar.

Cynthia Draper won the ladies’ approach (as expected) with Kev Savage putting his second shot in the hole preventing Bob Werne from claiming the approach as his ball was too late in arriving.

Roger Draper led the Chook Run winners on 29 nett, from Nigel Radin (30), Col Dennett and Dave Robinson (31), Marg Dennett (32), Joy Cartner and Kev Denham (33) on spins.

This coming Tuesday we play a single stableford competition and a number of players will be absent attending the Burrum Carnival.
