TO­DAY saw 21 play­ers take the field as we had some of our reg­u­lars play­ing in an event with the Isis Golf Club tee­ing off at 10.30am af­ter our game.

The lucky win­ner of the Monthly Mug was Scotty White on 31 points and los­ing 2.8 off his hand­i­cap fol­lowed closely by Dave Hills on 33 and los­ing 1.6 com­ing sec­ond af­ter a count­back with Ray Burrows who man­aged to lose 1.4 off his hand­i­cap.

The B-grade Ap­proach to the 1st was won by Dave Hills, the A Grade Long­est drive by Bob Champ­ney and the B-grade Long­est Drive by Chris Fitzsi­mons. The Com­bined Pin Shot on the 4th was won by Ed Con­nell but not close enough to take out the lead in the Golden Cir­cle. Mick Ryan and Paul McCar­ragher rounded out the prizes by both hav­ing the Least Putts with 13 each.

It was great to see Marie Chap­man back af­ter her long ab­sence through in­jury and Marc Harper also mak­ing a re­turn af­ter spend­ing a few years away work­ing. Thanks to Roz for cook­ing the meal for af­ter the game and top those who did the clean­ing up af­ter the meal.

The ros­ter for the bins next week will be Rhonda Zahn and Bob Cochrane.

I will be plac­ing the order for bucket hats with logo this week so those who haven’t or­dered please do so ASAP on 0427 407 970.

Mem­bers will see the brochure’s up on our no­tice board and those of the vet­er­ans and Isis Golf Clubs for the Pink Ball day on Septem­ber 28 for the Prostate Can­cer Fund, please or­gan­ise your­selves into teams of three and place them on the list pro­vided in the Isis Golf Club so we can as­cer­tain the num­ber of meals re­quired.

Next week’s game will be another Stroke and Putt game over the back nine with the usual $2 brekkie be­fore tee off so have a great week and see you on Sun­day.
