Mother Nature must be a runner

THE district copped a downpour on the weekend, which was wonderful for our farmers, of course, but was a little worrying for organisers of the Park to Point Fun Run.

But come Sunday, Mother Nature answered their prayers.

Pelting rain was replaced by beautiful rays of sunshine, just in time for the high school fundraiser.

What a wonderful day it turned out to be.

As a first timer to the event, I was impressed by how well the fun run was organised.

Congratulations to the organisers and volunteers who did a tremendous job putting this event together.

It was great to see the community come together to raise funds for their local high school.

I’ll be back next year to hit the beach sand.
