A SINGLE mother of six has appeared in the Childers Magistrates Court on a stealing charge and driving offences.

The court heard Lisa Cherie Campbell, 30, of Buxton, drove away from the Caltex Kingaroy with $60.56 worth of fuel on March 13.

Police prosecutor Senior Constable Hayley Glover told court Campbell placed 39.35 litres of unleaded petrol in her vehicle and drove away without making any attempt to pay for the fuel.

Campbell had claimed that her friend would pay, but he didn’t have his card on him, but video surveillance showed there was no other person in the car.

The woman was fined $500 and ordered to reimburse Caltex Kingaroy.

Campbell was fined an additional $1000 for two separate chargs of unlicensed driving and she was disqualified from driving for two years.
