Progress made on critical frosted cane
SEASONAL throughput rose to 285,183 tonnes after 65,828 tonnes were processed through the mill during week five of the 2014 season at Isis Mill.
CCS levels continued to recover, with 13.95 units recorded for the week, and this has brought the season to date figure to 13.39 units.
Good progress has been made on addressing the critical frosted cane across the region, with nearly all critical blocks now harvested.
There are still large areas of frosted cane, which was not classified as critical.
The team at Isis Productivity Limited will continue to monitor these blocks for signs of deterioration and action will be taken as required.
Growers with concerns should make contact with IPL team members.
