Progress made on crit­i­cal frosted cane

SEA­SONAL through­put rose to 285,183 tonnes af­ter 65,828 tonnes were pro­cessed through the mill dur­ing week five of the 2014 sea­son at Isis Mill.

CCS lev­els con­tin­ued to re­cover, with 13.95 units recorded for the week, and this has brought the sea­son to date fig­ure to 13.39 units.

Good progress has been made on ad­dress­ing the crit­i­cal frosted cane across the re­gion, with nearly all crit­i­cal blocks now har­vested.

There are still large ar­eas of frosted cane, which was not clas­si­fied as crit­i­cal.

The team at Isis Pro­duc­tiv­ity Limited will con­tinue to mon­i­tor th­ese blocks for signs of de­te­ri­o­ra­tion and ac­tion will be taken as required.
