BOOYAL Cen­tral State School Year 3 stu­dent Jes­sica War­ren has been com­mended for her aca­demic per­for­mance in the In­ter­na­tional Com­pe­ti­tions and As­sess­ments For Schools.

Jes­sica gained a dis­tinc­tion in the sci­ence test, plac­ing her in the top 11% of Aus­tralian stu­dents who com­peted, an out­stand­ing ef­fort.

The ICAS is or­gan­ised by the Univer­sity of NSW.

Booyal Cen­tral prin­ci­pal Dawn Dolin­ski said en­cour­ag­ing par­tic­i­pa­tion in ICAS com­pe­ti­tions was one way high-achiev­ing stu­dents were sup­ported and ex­tended.
