Development progress happening at Woodgate
DEVELOPMENT is progressing at Woodgate as an application for extension by nine units, a cafe and a shop along the town esplanade has been submitted to Bundaberg Regional Council.
The application for Woodgate was originally lodged and approved with the then-Isis Shire Council in 2007 but the development was never completed.
An associated development, Woodgate Beach Houses, was approved at the same time as the cafe, shop and units.
The beach houses sit at rear of the application site on the Woodgate Esplanade.
Sunshine Coast-based consultancy company RPS Group is now managing the application on behalf of property owner Roger Lewin.
The application for a further extension, the development’s third extension, is still under consideration.
RPS senior planner Ben Walsh confirmed Mr Lewin had intentions to progress with the works if approved for a two-year extension by the council.
The nine units will be no higher than two storeys, nine metres above ground level.
