WHO is the lucky one? This is the ques­tion on ev­ery­one’s lips after a Childers res­i­dent be­come an in­stant mil­lion­aire after win­ning first di­vi­sion in Thurs­day night’s Powerball draw. The anony­mous win­ner has come for­ward to claim their di­vi­sion one Powerball prize worth $3mil­lion.

The win­ning en­try was bought from Childers Newsagency and own­ers Gra­ham and Joanne Walker were over the moon.

“We’re thrilled and happy for our cus­tomer who won this life-chang­ing prize,” Mr Walker said.

“There will no doubt be a buzz around town as news spreads that we sold a $3mil­lion win­ning Powerball ticket,” he said.

Mr Walker ad­mit­ted they would prob­a­bly sell a few more tick­ets now the word has spread.

The win­ning Powerball 10-game marked en­try was the only di­vi­sion one win­ning ticket from the draw.
