The newly renovated commercial kitchen, which replaces a small outdated domestic kitchen at the community hall, features a deep fryer, big stove, a bain-marie, several fridges and a commercial dishwasher.

To celebrate the newly renovated kitchen, the residents’ association hosted a special lunch on Saturday with member for Burnett Stephen Bennett and local councillor Tony Ricciardi.

With the help of Mr Bennett, the association secured $35,000 from the state government Gambling Community Benefit Fund to assist in the renovations.

The association footed the remaining $40,000 to complete the project.
