THE club-spon­sored sin­gle stroke Monthly Medal com­pe­ti­tion at­tracted a smaller than ex­pected field, with the wind the ma­jor hur­dle to over­come.

Norm Plath’s highly cred­itable 66 nett earned him the medal, one stroke ahead of the hap­less Brett Martell, with Will Martell one shot fur­ther back. Damien Dowling scored one of his reg­u­lar ea­gles on hole num­ber 2. A Di­vi­sion pin shots went to DesWicks (1&12) and Kev Sav­age (4&13).

In B Di­vi­sion three mem­bers man­aged to score 70 nett, with Mark McAu­lay win­ing on a count­back from Larry Per­shouse, run­ner-up on a count­back from Bill Kingston. Ge­off Free­man won the B Di­vi­sion pin shot on 4&13, while Len Stal­lard won the ap­proach on 1&10.

This Satur­day, the Friendlies’ Pharmacy spon­sors the sin­gle sta­ble­ford com­pe­ti­tion and all mem­bers are in­vited to en­joy the day and com­pete for the ar­ray of prizes.
