THE club-sponsored single stroke Monthly Medal competition attracted a smaller than expected field, with the wind the major hurdle to overcome.
Norm Plath’s highly creditable 66 nett earned him the medal, one stroke ahead of the hapless Brett Martell, with Will Martell one shot further back. Damien Dowling scored one of his regular eagles on hole number 2. A Division pin shots went to DesWicks (1&12) and Kev Savage (4&13).
In B Division three members managed to score 70 nett, with Mark McAulay wining on a countback from Larry Pershouse, runner-up on a countback from Bill Kingston. Geoff Freeman won the B Division pin shot on 4&13, while Len Stallard won the approach on 1&10.
This Saturday, the Friendlies’ Pharmacy sponsors the single stableford competition and all members are invited to enjoy the day and compete for the array of prizes.
