Let it all soak in
SITTING among 83,833 fans to witness South Sydney win the NRL grand final will go down as one of the best nights of my life.
As a long-suffering myrtle and cardinal-eyed fan of 25 years, I, along with my Rabbitohs brethren, have ridden the lowest lows as a rugby league supporter.
I still can’t find the words to describe the feeling when the final siren sounded, let alone when John Sutton lifted the trophy after what felt like an eternity.
All I know is I’m going to enjoy the next few months.
