Future looks bright for revamped park

Isis Town and Country - - News -

THE addition of an amenities block and a view to include parking areas in the future has given one of Woodgate’s favourite recreational spaces a much-needed facelift.

Bundaberg Regional Council workers toasted the completed park, which is near Theodolite Creek, just over a week ago.

It includes more picnic tables and seating, a unisex amenities block and the built-up area is kept in place by a new interlocking retaining wall.

Councillor Tony Ricciardi walked Isis Town & Country through the $120,000 project last week and the Division 2 councillor was clearly excited about the area’s future.

“This has been in the pipeline for about five years,” Cr Ricciardi said.

“It was identified as the next phase before the amalgamation so it’s been a long time coming.”
