Chamber has plans to continue positive growth
THE Childers Chamber of Commerce re-formed in late 2010 to focus on supporting local businesses in the district to grow and develop within the Bundaberg Regional Council area.
The chamber provides a voice for local business and tourism operators in the local council, state and federal government arenas.
It also offers a forum to share ideas and issues and develop united strategies to benefit the local area.
President Troy Madle has been part of the committee since the beginning of this year and has some big plans to ensure continuous positive growth to the area.
“Between now and Christmas my main goal is to build community connections and to bring everyone together,” Mr Madle said.

“I believe this is an important initiative because it gives our younger generation the opportunity to become active participants within their community.”
With strong economic development and tourism subgroups, the chamber is focused on those issues that matter most to residents.
“There are a lot of great things that we want to achieve for Childers and the people who live here,” Mr Madle said.
“This includes the new town planning scheme and the upgrade of the main street.
“These projects will be a huge benefit for locals and tourists alike.”
The Childers Chamber of Commerce is a “one-stop information shop” for prospective businesses investigating opportunities to join the unique community.
