Energy savers

Isis Town and Country - - Life -

EIGHT areas in the Isis region have benefited from part of a huge investment in energy-saving initiatives.

The initiative, which was jointly funded by a Federal Government grant ($233,819) and Bundaberg Regional Council ($133,953), is set to save almost $3 million in 10 years, health and regulatory services spokesperson councillor Wayne Honor said.

Toilet blocks were fitted with timers, LED lights and presence sensors as part of the project.

The areas include: Apple Tree Creek Community Park, Banksia Park, Buxton Foreshore Park, Millenium Park and Pioneer Park.
