Take your hat off to firies

MP pays tribute to volunteers

Isis Town and Country - - News - By STEPHEN BENNETT MEMBER FOR BURNETT

AS YOU are aware, we are heading into the bushfire season, where our dedicated local rural fire bridge members will be out in force to protect communities.

It’s a time where we should take our hats off to those rural firies from Childers, Goodwood, Woodgate, Buxton and Booyal, and recognise and celebrate their contributions.

On behalf of the Isis, I’d like to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to them for their invaluable work.

They are extraordinary people who take time out of their lives, away from their work and family commitments, to protect people and property from fires.

The Isis district is in good hands with our local rural fire brigades.

Stay safe this bushfire season.
