Craft Bazaar a big success

Isis Town and Country - - News -

THE SIGHT of a full Isis Cultural Centre made Trish Hoffman a happy woman on Tuesday.

Mrs Hoffman stepped into the role of co-ordinator for the Grace Lutheran Church Childers Craft Bazaar for the first time this year, and she couldn’t be happier with how it went.

“It’s been wonderful,” Mrs Hoffman beamed.

Stallholder numbers were down on last year, from 41 to 36, but that was a purposeful move made by organisers to avoid overcrowding.

Fewer stalls gave stallholders and attendees room to move, allowing them to take full advantage of the space available.

Mrs Hoffman said there were a few stallholders who couldn’t make it so it left more room for those who were there.

Councillor Lynne Forgan opened the day, which was part of the Crush Festival, and had only positive things to say about the event.
