Biggenden scramble to final at Pelican Waters
A GROUP of Biggenden golfers is off to the final of Australia’s largest and most successful pro-amateur teams’ event.
The team of PGA Professional Craig Swift, Neil Weston, Matthew Jenke, Matthew Weston and Jason Beeston won the regional final at Pelican Waters, and will now face off against 23 teams from across the country.
The national final will be played at Twin Waters on the Sunshine Coast, and Swift, who has reached the final once before, said he was looking forward to another tilt at the national title.
“It was great we were able to come together, sink some really big putts and play some top golf today,” Swift said.
“We can’t wait to get to the Sunshine Coast.
“I’ve been lucky enough to go before. The last time was 2010 and I’ve heard it has grown in stature since I last attended, so we cannot wait to see what’s in store for us this year.”
The final will be played from December 5–8.
