No time to lose for Isis Club

Isis Town and Country - - News -

THE NEW Isis Club board has wasted no time in trying to win back the community.

A new board and committee swept to power at last Tuesday’s AGM, and the pressure is on for the new board, headed by president Graham Walker, to turn members’ faith into results.

The board has taken its first steps in doing just that by announcing that local charity groups can use the venue free of charge.

“The Isis Club is back to support our community,” the board said.

Mr Walker said he had noticed a strong turnout at the venue in his first week in charge.

“We had a very good crowd there on Friday night and hopefully that will keep up,” he said.

“We have got to get people wanting to get back to the club again.”

Bookings can be made by contacting the club directly.

The new board consists of Walker, vice-president Rex Clements, secretary Helen Ricciardi and treasurer Jock Gardner. John Cole, Len Horne and Stephen Parcell hold committee positions.
