Dancers build on ‘raw’ talents

Isis Town and Country - - Life -

DANCERS from across the Bundaberg region headed to Isis High School Stadium Hall late last month for the first United Dance Workshop.

About 50 people aged between five and 37 attended the workshop, run by RAW Dance Company from Brisbane.

The next workshop is scheduled for this Saturday, while event co-ordinator Michelle Brumwell said a third date had been secured for March.

“It was very successful and we got great feedback,” Mrs Brumwell said.

“The kids had a great time.”

Participants learned routines in styles such as hip-hop, breakdance, jazz and contemporary.

Mrs Brumwell also thanked local businesses for their support.
