CHILDERS residents can dispose of storm debris for free at Bundaberg Regional Council’s Childers Landfill as the clean-up from Tuesday’s storm continues. Health and Regulatory Services portfolio spokesman Cr Wayne Honor said BRC staff noticed residents leaving storm debris on footpaths. “Our roads and parks and gardens crews are working tirelessly to ensure public spaces and roads are safe and accessible to residents following significant storm damage,” Cr Honor said. “Staff will continue to assess the level of damage in the area and assistance will be offered to residents wherever possible.” Waste and Recycling portfolio spokesman Cr Vince Habermann said storm-related waste could be disposed free of charge until Sunday.
