Paragon goes back in time

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion -

DOC Brown might not have been anywhere near the Paragon Theatre with his DeLorean, but the revamped venue was transported back in time last week.

The 7 Legends concert, performed by Barry Franklin and the Brass Monkeys, took the 280-strong crowd on a journey through rock’n’roll history.

They performed classics from the likes of Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley.

The hugely successful concert came just a week after the first Girls Night In, which raised $1966 for breast and gynaecological cancer support and research with a screening of Dirty Dancing.

Friday night will see the second major fundraiser as Mad Max takes to the big screen for the Mo Bro Mo-vie Night, which will raise money for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health programs.
