ANOTHER week of competition, another new centre record.

This time it was under-16 Simone Manski who added yet another track record to her name when she crossed the finish line in under 13 seconds for the 100m sprint at Isis Little Athletics Club last week.

Manski’s time of 12.9secs beat the 2010/11 record held by Katy Cole by 0.2secs.

A total of 68 personal bests were recorded for the night, with 36 being recorded on the track.

U14 Tyler Macdonald and U15 Matthew Haaksma tied the week’s personal bests tally at four apiece from five events, while three PBs were achieved by U6 Phynn Boase, U8 Leticia Trapp and Devyn Macdonald, U10 Jackson Rehbein, U11 Alana Beens and U12’s Cooper Burns and Bradley Emms.

Tiny Tots Piper Bartlett, Sophie Cikursch, Jessica Holthouse, Nicholas Haggett, Vinnie Vella, Shantara McAuley, Cayden Muggeridge, Charli Murton, Fisher Plant and Jason Sopronick continue to refine their throwing, jumping and running skills through a variety of age-based events.

Athlete of the Week went to Jackson Rehbein for his contribution to the club.

“Jackson is always on hand for set up and pack up at club nights and training sessions,” coach Wills said.

“He is also an excellent role model for other young people, with an outstanding attitude towards his development as an athlete.”
