The House Across the Street

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion - By LILLY EMERTON, YR 8 Isis District State High School

THERE is a house across the street. I hear strange noises of shuffling feet, Whispers, screams and bellows too.

I worry and fear for me and you.

There came a night of silence Not a whisper or creak, But then I hear my door open,

And I feel that someone who seeks, A shiver up my spine, A drip on my head. I look up and in blood it said,

I see you staring, peering at me,

You will never guess who the one will be.
