Close, but no cigar for Brothers White

Isis Town and Country - - Sport -

JARROD Lyndon hit the highest score of his young career as Isis Green powered to a 13-run win over Brothers White last week.

Lyndon scored 41 in an explosive innings in which he cleared the fence four times.

Bryden Blair (35), Jackson Rehbein (31) and Jayden Santacaterina (career-high 28) took advantage of loose bowling from their opponents and hammered several boundaries each.

The scores look even more impressive given each batsman faces only 12 balls.

Brothers chased the target well but eventually ended their innings on 154.

Kyle Blake, Cooper Rehbein and Jett and Mason Sim each took one wicket.

Meanwhile it was a matter of “so close but so far” for Isis White as they fell to YMCA by just two runs.

Isis scored 78 thanks largely to Zak Tomlinson’s 24, while Mason Hayden and Mitchell Clarke contributed 15 runs each.

YMCA struggled for numbers, so enlisted the help of Isis player Rhys Felgate, who smashed 30 runs to lead his adopted side to victory.

Hayden and Clarke showed promise with the ball, taking one wicket each.
