Fine for fighting

Isis Town and Country - - News -

A BARBECUE with friends ended in a fight, an unlawful assault charge and a trip to Childers Magistrates Court for Toni Bryant.

Bryant hosted a barbecue on September 22, which a female attended uninvited.

Tension between the pair increased when Bryant’s pet dog sat on the woman’s lap, who swore at the animal in front of Bryant’s six-yearold twins.

The situation exploded about 11pm when the other female and her partner were leaving the party.

The court heard Bryant leapt through a car window to slap and swear at the victim, resulting in “superficial wounds to the woman’s cheek” and several small bruises.

Bryant’s conviction was recorded and she was fined $400.
