A BIG thank you to the mem­bers of the com­mu­nity who came along and joined us on the morn­ing of Australia Day 2015 for break­fast and en­ter­tain­ment. Thank you to Childers CWA, Rose and Rama es­pe­cially, for help­ing with the or­gan­i­sa­tion of the morn­ing and ap­ply­ing for the grant and mem­bers for help with the morn­ing; Lu­cia Momesso for all your help with the or­gan­is­ing and help on the morn­ing. And the judges who spent time de­lib­er­at­ing on the Fri­day evening be­fore the event. Thank you to: Bund­aberg Re­gional Coun­cil; Childers Karate Club; Childers Butch­ery; Childers Wool­worths; Childers Fruit and Veg­etable Grow­ers’ As­so­ci­a­tion for the juice and fruit and help dur­ing the morn­ing; Childers Li­ons and Ro­tary clubs for cooking brekky. Wayne Say for the cer­tifi­cate frames; Rox­anne Har­ney for the cer­tifi­cates; Ray Suter for the wa­ter­mel­ons; Childers State School for the loan of the au­dio for the morn­ing – and Kerry for mak­ing sure it all sounded great; Brett Ka­vanagh for your em­cee abil­i­ties. Bob White and Graeme A Moor for your gui­tars and songs; Tracey Hoffman – what a beau­ti­ful voice singing the na­tional an­them, then an­other cou­ple of songs; Childers Coun­try line dancers; and Thomas Green and Jade Jon­son for your youth­ful views on grow­ing up in Childers. To the most de­serv­ing win­ners, well done. Seussi­cal the Mu­si­cal, Austin Cross­land, Jade Jon­son, Katie Vaughan, Deb­bie Russo, Au­drey Mes­sen­ger and Tom Dun­can. You de­serve the recog­ni­tion for the of­ten un­seen ef­forts you all give so will­ingly to this won­der­ful com­mu­nity. If I have forgotten any­one please ac­cept my deep­est apolo­gies.
