Election bulletins wrap up

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion - Matthew McInerney Reporter matthew.mcinerney@apn.com.au

THANK God that’s over.

As much as I enjoyed covering the state election I have to admit I’m glad the plethora of promises, commitments, gaffes, and ads is done and dusted.

While the result is still yet to be decided I’m sure most of you are glad to see the back of it.

This week’s Town & Country has a wrap of how the Burnett voted with a local focus, while the Kolan Recorder section focuses on Callide.

Speaking of the Recorder, I’m looking forward to the challenge of keeping up with everything Gin Gin and Mt Perry in future Town & Country editions.

While it’s been incorporated for the past few weeks next week will see more local news.

The format and presentation will remain under review until I find a way that works best.

I intend to be in Gin Gin one day a week, and once I settle a timetable I’ll let you know here.

From a personal perspective I have to thank my NewsMail colleagues to covering my absence a few weeks back.

I had to duck interstate for an emergency and the NewsMail kindly and generously ensured Town & Country hit the stands.
