Neighbourhood centre support
SUPPORT for a range of issues will be provided by Bundaberg Regional Council through a variety of initiatives.
Childers Neighbourhood Centre is offering services from child and family support to help with a tax return for residents throughout the Childers area from Woodgate to Buxton.
Council’s community services portfolio spokeswoman Judy Peters said Childers Neighbourhood Centre was holding information sessions in Woodgate and Buxton to raise awareness about the assistance available to residents.
“Our staff at the Childers Neighbourhood Centre provide a wide variety of services which we find are heavily utilised by Childers residents, but we want to ensure residents from outlying areas such as Woodgate and Buxton realise these services are available for them to access as well,” Cr Peters said.
“The neighbourhood centre is a wonderful community asset, so it’s important residents know how to take advantage of what it has to offer.”
Cr Peters said the information sessions would be relevant for all residents.
“There will be information available on all of the services offered by the neighbourhood centre, which apply to everyone from young families to seniors.
“Existing clients may also like to take advantage of the opportunity to speak with staff about additional services.”
