VALENTINE’S Day turned out to be an excellent day for golf.

Some great scores were recorded for the first weekend of golf. In the three-hole event Macie Hinton had an impressive 21 off the stick to win from another young gun Phynn Boase with 27. In the six hole event scores were very close Xavier Freeman had a good 38 off the stick followed by Cooper Rehbein with a 39 Ryan Blinco had a 40 off the stick and two new stars Max and Nicholas Corsetti had a 43 and 41 respectively. The overall winner of this event was Ryan with a net of 23 followed by Cooper with a net 25.

In the nine hole event Wesley Hinton had an imposing 58 off the stick to win. He tells me his dad would be lucky to shoot that score. He was closely followed by Tom Blinco. In the thirteen hole event Amara Burns started the year in great form shooting an 88 off the stick. She was closely followed by her brother Cooper on 91.

Next weekend will be the normal starting times of 7am and 7.30am for the respective divisions. Remember Bundaberg junior carnival is on shortly don’t forget to nominate. See you on Saturday.
