Hitting the court

Isis Town and Country - - Sport -

AUDIs overpowered Bentleys while Jaguars were a touch more reliable than Lamborghinis this week.

The first thought goes to Le Mans where such results are possible but instead this was at North St tennis courts.

Jack Hansen’s team Porsche had the bye.

An unexpected cloud burst on Wednesday evening delayed the start of play for a brief period however it did not take long for the courts to dry after a quick squeegee.

Teams seem to be pretty well matched once play began and at the end of the night Lyndon-Walmsley’s team Fillies could only be separated from John Gorringe’s Colts on a count back of games after they drew three each on sets.

Tennis coaching for juniors with professional coach Kevin Banner is on Thursday afternoons after school.

Phone Greg Royan 0419 781 677 for information.

Next Tuesday: Audi v Jaguar, Bentley v Porsche, Lamborgini’s Daniel, Jeff, Anthony and Val have the bye.

Games are played Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
