Woodgate is pumping with Beachfit
MONDAY, Tuesday and Thursdays, Woodgate is pumping as more and more people discover the fun and, of course, the fitness benefits of Woodgate Beachfit.
Instructor Melinda Ricciardi said those coming to the classes commented on the fact that they enjoyed the social aspect as well as the variety that the classes offered for getting fit.
“I am lucky in that we have such a great group of people who are really willing to get in there and give their preferred style of fitness a go,” she said.
“We always welcome new members and can help them find the workout that suits them best, whether it is aqua aerobics, step aerobics or yolates, because there is something suitable for all fitness levels and age is never a barrier.”
The interval/circuit class is high-energy and focuses on enhancing cardiovascular fitness, increasing metabolism and improving muscle tone via training techniques such as interval training and bodyweight exercises.
Step aerobics is an enjoyable cardio blast using a step to tone hips, butts and thighs that is suitable for all fitness levels.
Yolates is designed to rejuvenate, relax and restore the whole body, promoting strength, flexibility and balance, and is suitable for all levels of fitness, age and body types.
For those who prefer something more water-based, there is aqua aerobics that continues to be hugely popular because it has less impact on your body and joints while providing a great cardio workout.
