Generous Gin Gin in fundraiser

Isis Town and Country - - Kolan News -

WE ARE all aware that the Make-A-Wish Foundation endeavours to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.

Gin Gin Bowls Club hosted a fundraising day on Sunday to help this wonderful charity.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has operated in Australia since 1985, and many volunteers and sponsors have given their time and efforts to raising funds for this wonderful cause.

Gin Gin Bowls Club put on a bowling day of teams of four players: two bowlers and two non-bowlers.

The Gin Gin Lions Club again cooked the barbecue, and the Make-A-Wish volunteers prepared the salads for a delicious lunch, followed by a huge cent sale.

Raffles were popular, with some lovely prizes.

First prize winner of a barbecue was Barbara Dunstan who then generously donated it to the club.

Guest players Jim and Cathy Manderson.
