Not a shock

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion -

WHY would the loss of funding for a hydrotherapy pool come as a shock to anyone? After all, Burnett did vote back in an LNP sitting member. It is the game all parties play after an election: “Vote us back in or we take away what somebody else has promised.” I wonder if Hinkler will lose any funding, but unfortunately it is the people who need this the most who will suffer for it, and we are only a small rural town, so who cares? I also questioned the cost of this when it was promised because again, the Bundaberg Regional Council was saying it was closing our public pool because of costly repairs needed. So what can we do, ratepayers and voters? Speak with our votes and our feet, by the looks of it. We put you in; we can put you out. Diane Styles,
