Childers artists honoured
THE Gin Gin Courthouse Gallery is proud to present, for the first time, the Monto Art Group’s exhibition, Artist Friends.
This name has been chosen because it explains who they are – artists and friends.
The Monto Art Group has been in existence for many years and has two life members who were there at the formation of the group.
During the years the group has held exhibitions in Monto, Mulgildie, Biloela and Mt Perry and are also stewards for the art section at the Monto Show in April.
The artists are excited about their opportunity to exhibit at the Gin Gin Courthouse Gallery and they hope it will provide art lovers an opportunity to see what the artists of Monto have to offer.
The exhibition is open until Thursday, May 21.
FOUR young women are the creators of two new exhibitions at the Hervey Bay Regional Gallery, and all share more than just a love of the creative arts.
The exhibition, Source, offers a fun mix of vibrant 2D sculptural works by Cassie O’Brien and Leigh West and urges you to engage all of your senses and connect with nature.
Artworks are emotive, engaging, original, accessible and for all budgets.
The exhibition runs until May 3.
Suzie Lewis and Haley George proudly present the exhibition Vessel.
The artists said: “Life is not about the destination, it’s about the journey. Our dreams begin at such a young age and we believe that there is more to being alive than just who we are and what we do.”
The exhibition runs until May 10.
