Midsomer Murders

Isis Town and Country - - Television -

Friday, ABC, 8.30pm

One of the oldest shows around, Midsomer Murders is the perfect murder mystery series if you like them wholesome, dignified and suitable for watching with your granny. Based on the crime-novel series by author Caroline Graham, it’s still going strong after 18 years on the box. Tonight, a new series begins with “The Dagger Club”, where DCI Barnaby (Neil Dudgeon, left) and DS Nelson (Gwilym Lee) are called to a peculiar investigation when an artist is electrocuted by a booby-trapped roulette wheel she received in the post after a manuscript was stolen from her house. The tale takes many twists and turns, in typical Midsomer style.
