Sunday, April 5 – Camp Quality Charity Barefoot Bowls Day. Thirty-two teams of four players enjoyed the afternoon of barefoot bowls which is held annually on Easter Sunday to raise funds in support of Camp Quality (children with life threatening diseases) – a great family Fun day. The day was well supported by the bowlers and followers purchasing lots of raffle tickets and good cheer, cheering the players for their good and not so good shots and whenever the bowl hit the jack.

Children’s entertainment, Bounce About Jumping Castle, Frivolous Faces, Face Painting, mechanical bull rides and sausage sizzle were also supported by live entertainment after the bowls. The day turned out well weather-wise – sunny, no rain, but a little on the hot side due to humid conditions. A big thank you to the sponsors Woodgate Club, bowls personnel who organised the game and all who helped in any way on the day.
